An East Coast native, Professor Huffman received her B.A. from Bucknell University (1989), her masters from Louisiana State University (1992), and her Ph.D. from Emory University in 2003. Her scholarly interests include comparative politics, specializing in Western Europe, and international relations. In addition to American politics, she has taught Comparative Politics, Western Europe, Empirical Methodology, International Political Economy and an IR course on War and Peace. Professor Huffman’s second language is German. Supplementing her American degrees, Professor Huffman spent four years studying at German universities, including the University of Heidelberg and the Free University of Berlin. In her free time Professor Huffman enjoys traveling, yoga, women’s history and science fiction. She resides in Folsom with her husband and two children, and a varied menagerie of dogs, cats, fish and lizards. |

Martin F. Morales is a native of Argentina where he attended St. Georges College, a British public school. Upon returning to the US, he graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in International Relations (1991). His areas of study included Latin America, the Middle East and US-Soviet relations. His extra curricular activities were extensive and included writing/publishing, serving as both a research and teaching assistant to various faculty members and leadership/membership in various student organization (Model United Nations, Model Arab League, etc.); he was also a member of the Honors Society. Following college, Professor Morales attended San Francisco State University and obtained his Master of Arts in International Relations the following year. His primary area of study was Occupied Palestine and secondary field was Latin America. He has been teaching international relations, comparative politics, revolutionary ideology, US Government and global studies courses since 1997. Professor Morales currently serves as the Senior Political Analyst for Univision's Sacramento affiliate, KUVS 19, and also drafts petitions for foreign nationals seeking political asylum in the United States. He serves the Los Rios Community College District on its International Education Committee and is currently the Chair of both the Department of Political Science & Global Studies and the Honors Program at Cosumnes River College. His travels have been extensive (Latin America, Asia, Europe) and have afforded him the opportunity to teach abroad (Paris, Buenos Aires). His hobbies include cooking, international travel and skiing. He has been employed by the LRCCD since 2003, is single and lives in San Francisco. |
