ABOUT THE CAMP
Clinic Information - July 2009
* It is this Camps Philosophy to make the five days an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all campers and to provide the opportunity for them to meet our coaching staff and other campers with a positive attitude toward basketball. Our goal is to have the campers learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball, apply those skills in a game format, and have a good time while doing it.
* The camp will cover different phases of basketball.
* Our philosophy will continue to emphasize four things:
1. Sportsmanship: Sense of commitment, which earn the trust of those around you.
2. Hard Work: Your work ethic and work habits will reflect who you are and what you are.
3. Teamwork: Work effectively with those around you.
4. Respect: For yourself and others.
* Our camp teach two important things:
1. Our camp teaches the fundamentals that enables you to play at the next level.
2. Our camp teaches work ethnic enabling you to become a champion.
* The purpose of our camp is to teach the fundamentals and incorporate our lessons in team competition.
* In our camp, We Guarantee 3 Things:
1. You will leave a better player.
2. You will work hard.
3. You will have fun.




Information For The Campers - July 2009
* Be coached by a qualified, dedicated, and experienced CRC Men's Basketball Coaches, players, and basketball staff members.
* Camp coaches will provide daily instructions, demonstrations, and lectures on basketball fundamentals and techniques to improve shooting, rebounding, defending, offensive and defensive sets. Campers will have the opportunity to work on the same drills and get extra help directly from the camp coaches and leaders on open court during specified time periods.
* Evaluations by camp directors and coaches
* Learn from position oriented drills and competitions.
* Receive information on the CRC basketball and academic programs.
* Play all games and instruction on indoor courts.
* Quality instruction and quality daily drills.
* Play in game situations each day.
* Equal playing time in each game each day for each camper registered in the camp.

* Master staff of coaches who have significant coaching/teaching and playing experience that will greatly impact the individual at this camp.
* Thorough and in-depth orientation prior to the start of the camp activities.
* Written evaluation by the camp leaders and assistants of player performance.

* Campers will receive an invaluable amount of teaching and repetition in this short but intensive weeklong camp format.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

James Giacomazzi
James is entering his 10th year of collegiate coaching, and his fourth year at Cosumnes River College. A Northern California native, Giacomazzi attended and played for Guin Boggs at Washington High School in Fremont. Upon graduation 1993, Giacomazzi went on to play for California Community College Hall of Fame Coach Percy Carr at San Jose City College, where his teams compiled a two-year record of 57 wins and only 12 losses. Moreover, his team won the Golden Gate Conference both years.
After SJCC, Giacomazzi earned a scholarship to University of California, Riverside and was an All-Conference selection his senior season. In 1998, Giacomazzi graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Political Science and History and immediately began coaching at SJCC. In 2001, Giacomazzi received his Master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Performance/Sport Management from California State University, San Jose.
Giacomazzi is a member of the national Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and of the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA). His hobbies include traveling, spending a day on the lake, watching movies and playing a variety of sports. He resides in Elk Grove with his wife Kristi and their dog "Hooper."
