Boys and Girls ages 7-15 years old.
Cost $ 190.00 per dancer, $100 additional siblings.

ABOUT THE CAMP:
Our CRC Dance Camp is designed to provide your child with an exceptional experience. We focus our efforts on body awareness, movement mastery and confidence building. It is our intent to foster a love of dance and allow for the development of the individual through dance. CRC Dance camp is intended to provide a physically demanding experience that will also strengthen cultural awareness and artistic expression.

Week 1 Schedule

Week 2 Schedule
9:00-10:00am Ballet

Ballet
Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet technique beginning with body placement and alignment, improving fine motor skills, and strengthening of technique used in turns and leaps.
Jazz
Students will be introduced to beginning jazz sequences and movements with an emphasis on style and presentation.
Modern
Students will continue to focus on body placement and alignment which will be coupled with a greater focus on weight sensing and movement flow.
Hip Hop
Guest choreographers will teach students energetic and fun hip hop dance routines involving body isolations, sharp movements and rhythm.
July 31st 12:00-1:00pm Performance
Parents, family and friends are invited to attend our in-house performance where students will demonstrate all they have achieved during the two week dance camp. There will be a $5.00 charge for admission to this performance.


Dress Code
Ballet:
Girls: Leotard, pink or black tights, ballet shoes. Hair pulled back neatly away from face.
Boys: Fitted top and black tight stretch pants.
Jazz:
Girls: Leotard, jazz pants, black or nude jazz shoes.
Boys: Fitted top and black tight stretch pants.
Modern:
Girls: Leotard, dance pants.
Boys: Fitted top and dance pants.
Hip Hop:
Comfortable clothing and sneakers.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Ms. Zmuda received her M.F.A. in Dance with a Choreographic Emphasis from the University of California, Irvine and her B.F.A. in Ballet with an Emphasis on Teaching from the University of Utah. Through her training and performing she has had the opportunity to work with such dance icons as Donald McKayle, Alonzo King, Conrad Ludlow, and Carla Maxwell.
Ms. Zmuda has had the opportunity to perform with the Limon Dance Company, Hale Center Theatre, Sandy City Ballet, CORE Dance Collective and the Sacramento Ballet.
In addition to teaching at Cosumnes River College, Ms. Zmuda also teaches at Elite Studio of Dance, Northern California Dance Conservatory, Sacramento Ballet and is the Artistic Director of j. Leah Dance Company.
