ABOUT THE CAMP:
The tennis camp will focus on the following areas:
- undertstanding tennis rules, the courts, and equipment
- player safety on the court
- basic fundamentals: grip, ready position, footwork, forehand, backhand, volleys & serve
- conditioning
- good sportsmanship and having fun with the game of tennis for a lifetime
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
John Taylor
This is John "JT" Taylor's third year as Cosumnes River College's Head Tennis Coach and he has been playing competitive tennis for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Cosumnes River College in 2001 and Sacramento State in 2005. His other tennis head coaching positions to date were at Cordova High School 1997/1998 and Laguna Creek High School 2002/2004. JT resides in Sacramento with his wife, Angela and their pets. His hobbies include collecting vintage books and golf equipment, organic gardening and he loves to watch all sports.
