Stat 300 Time Commitment & Weekly Schedule

• All students can expect two hours of homework for each hour spent in lecture. In a traditional semester: 4 hours of lecture, 8 hours homework for a 4-unit course--12 hours weekly for completing course lessons (Notes Packets) plus homework .
• Fall and Spring Online students should expect the same time commitment as students in a traditional classroom: approximately 12 hours per week to complete 3 assignments each week.
• Summer Online students work approximately 3 times the normal pace in their condensed 6-week course: In a summer "on-ground " version of this class, the class would cover 2 sections per day, 4 days per week. Online students should expect the same time commitment: approximately 30-36 hours per week to complete approximately 8 assignments each week.
• Each section will take 1-1.5 hours for the completing lecture notes packet, (In-class students complete the notes packets during the "live" lectures) plus approximately 1-2.5 hours to complete the assigned homework for each section.
You can be flexible with the schedule of when the homework happens during each week, but you MUST have the self-discipline to make sure it DOES happen each week!
