Prerequisites
When you are ready to register for STAT 300

PREREQUISITE INFORMATION
Many courses have prerequisite courses that must be completed and passed prior to enrollment. Prerequisites are listed in the course description in eServices. Be sure you've met the prerequisites for a course before enrolling.

  • You will need to provide proof of passing the prerequisite course the first day of class with the exception of STAT 300.
  • Students enrolling in STAT 300 must have the prerequisite verified PRIOR TO ENROLLING.

AUTOMATED STAT 300 PREREQUISITE CHECKING
As part of a new registration process, students enrolling in STAT 300 must have their prerequisite verified prior to enrollment. [This applies only to STAT 300 students]

VALID PREREQUISITES

1.
Students who have taken and passed the prerequisite Intermediate Algebra (or higher) at a Los Rios College (ARC, CRC, FLC or SCC).

2.
Students who have assessed into STAT 300 (or higher) by taking an assessment test at a Los Rios College.

If you are currently enrolled in one of the prerequisite courses (ie. Math 120, 124, 125) or a higher-level math course
yellow light.CAUTION!
YOU ARE OK TO REGISTER
You must earn a C or better
4.
Prerequisites are not automatic for students who have taken an Intermediate Algebra** course at UC, CSU, or other California Community College, and that class is a prerequisite for Statistics at that school.
  1. Bring a printed copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) with you when you come to see a counselor (Library L200).

Prerequisites are not automatic for students who have taken an Intermediate Algebra** course from a private or out-of-state school, and that class is a prerequisite for Statistics at that school.
  1. Bring a printed copy of the course description, and
  2. Bring a printed copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) when you come to see a counselor (Library L200)

PROCEED TO COUNSELING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to have your prerequisite status evaluated.

1) Once the evaluation process is complete and APPROVED you will be able to register within 48 hours.

**Note for on-line students who do not reside in the greater Sacramento area: If your required action of seeing a CRC counselor is impossible, fill out the web-form to request instructions on how you can verify your prerequisite before registering for the class. Connecting electronically will add to the response time of this request, so personal contact with a CRC counselor is recommended whenever possible.
