Satisfactory Academic Progress
Federal, State and Cosumnes River College financial aid regulations/policy require that all students who receive financial assistance must make satisfactory academic progress (according to the policy listed below) toward the completion of their eligible program of study for a degree, certificate or transfer program. Your academic standing will be reviewed for satisfactory progress at the beginning of each award year at Cosumnes River College.

| 1. Maintain Progress - Complete at least 75% of units enrolled: | ||
| Progress Percentage = | (Total Units With "W", "I", "F", "NC" and "NP") (Total Units Attempted) |
= Must be 25% or less |
| 2. Maintain Minimum of 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) = Grade "C" or Better: | ||
| Grade Point Average = | (Total Grade Point Earned) (Total Units attempted with a letter grade) |
= Must be 2.00 or better |
| 3. Maximum Time Period or Unit Total toward program completion: | ||

Completion of degree or 72 units or more attempted, whichever occurs first Students are required to complete an Appeal with an Academic Plan Acknowledgement signed by a CRC counselor. Course Repetition: To determine the student's GPA, the most recent grade for a repeated course will be used. All units (both current and prior) from repeated courses are counted toward the maximum number (72) of units a student is permitted to attempt. Students are not eligible to receive aid for more than one repetition of a course that has been previously passed. |
