About the CRC Library
The Cosumnes River College Library supports the learning, instruction, and information needs of a diverse student population, faculty, and staff.
In the spirit of the American Library Association's Bill of Rights, we value providing the CRC community of students, faculty, and staff with open and equitable access to information.
We value collaboration with our colleagues to support all disciplines, programs, and viewpoints by selecting the most accurate, fair, diverse, relevant, comprehensive, and current sources available in a variety of formats.
The Library's goal is to provide students with the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively. These Information Competency skills are essential to student success in educational endeavors, careers, and as lifelong information consumers and creators.
The Library at Cosumnes River College is located in the three-story Library building situated in the center of the campus. This building is also home to several other support services. The Library's entrance is located on the second floor. . Elevator access to the Library collection and facilities is located on the first floor near the north entrance of the Library building.
The Library provides a collection to support research and personal enrichment, professional staff, technology, and study space to support the students, faculty and staff of Cosumnes River College. Our services include: circulating library materials (books and media), a reference and print serials collection (for in-library use only), access to dozens of online research databases, computers, Reserve textbooks and course materials, group and individual study areas, reference services, and library instruction.

LIBR 318: Library Research and Information Literacy
This course will help students acquire the information competency skills necessary to conduct academic or personal research. It provides a step-by-step guide to the research process that is applicable to term papers, course work and life-long learning.
