Faculty Liaisons
CRC library tries to keep in close contact with faculty. Indeed, your students’ success depends on the availability of library resources to support your curriculum.
For new research assignments, we request that you submit a copy of the assignment to your liaison so reference librarians can be prepared for your students’ questions.
Instructors (i.e., course originators) who are creating new courses need to contact their library liaison to complete the Joint Review Worksheet located on InfoStream. Instructors should also discuss with their liaison essential and supplementary library material as required in Feasibility (Section 14) on SOCRATES.
Contact your faculty liaison for anything you need from the library. We encourage you to send us book lists from your discipline that includes books appropriate for your students. Almost every book requested by faculty is ordered. Ordering and processing may take up to four months or longer depending on availability.
Also contact your library liaison for media or periodical order requests, inter-library loans, research lists for your class, specialized library handouts, library research instructional sessions for your class, private instructional session for yourself on advanced searching techniques, how to use the library catalog, a specific research database, or Internet resources in your discipline.
Contact us with any further questions or ideas you may have.
