The RWC will open for Spring 2012 on January 23, 2012.
The Reading and Writing Center (RWC) provides help with reading and/or writing assignments for any class. The RWC staff do not offer proofreading/editing services. Rather, their purpose is to help students help themselves learn to read more effectively and develop/present ideas coherently in essays and other types of writing.
Who can use the RWC:
Students enrolled at CRC may register to use the RWC, whether or not they are taking an English class. However, enrollment in ENGLB 70 is required.
Attendance requirement: Students may receive college credit for their work in the center by registering for
- .5 unit (22.5 hours attendance required) or
- 1.0 unit (45 hours attendance required).
ENGLB 70 is graded on a Credit/No Credit basis. No lectures or assignments are given; students bring their own work.
Registration information:
Students can register for ENGLB 70 online, in the Admissions Office, or in the RWC itself. Students may register any time during the first several weeks of the semester (spring registration deadline = March 16).
