Welcome to CRC! You've joined a staff of nearly 400 colleagues working together to help our students. Below you will find some general information especially relevant to new employees and links to more information. Additional important information can be found on the other five tabs listed at the left.

Business Cards
- business cards are provided to all full-time faculty and permanent classified staff. An order for business cars for new employees and those earning a promotion are free of charge. Click here for Order Form and instructions on ordering Business Cards.

Email Accounts - Once you have been processed through the Los Rios Human Resources Dept. (HR), the College automatically sets up your computer login and e-mail account.  If you have problems with your login or accessing your college e-mail, check with HR to ensure you have completed all required steps. If you have completed them, contact the Help Desk (916-568-3012) for assistance.

Emergencies on Campus - follow the link to All Employees and look alphabetically under 'E'
Employee ID Card - you should obtain an employee ID card through Police Services, located in the Operations and Police Services (OPS) Building. Once you have your employee ID card, you can obtain a Library ID card, as well!
Glossary of Terms
Keys -
contact your area office to request keys that you may need. The area office will send a request, signed by the dean, to the College Police requesting the keys. There is a 24-hour turn around on key requests, so plan ahead. Upon termination of your employment contract, all keys must be surrendered. Lost or damaged keys should be reported immediately to College Police (x2221 or 916-691-2221). All staff are expected to monitor their key usage and return keys that are no longer needed. At no time should you copy, loan or allow an unauthorized person to utilize your keys.
Parking Permits - Obtain your parking permits from the Police Services Department, located in the Operations and Public Safety (OPS) Building. Permits are for a two-year cycle. Additional temporary and/or special event permits are available for day-use or on a semester basis.

Human Resources/Benefits Items
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - a new program offered to all employees. Includes counseling, travel insurance, etc.
Human Resources
Paychecks & Paystubs - may be picked up at the Staff Window in the Admissions & Records area, located in the College Center (CC). How to read your paycheck - click here.  You can now access your paystubs and other information at the DO Website
TB Testing - Can be scheduled through CRC Health Services by calling 916-691-7767 or 916-691-7254.

Ergonomics - link to District web page
Help Desk - The Help Desk at the District Office provides assistance and direction for problems with electronic resources. These resources including the telephone system, PeopleSoft, computers and network resources. By calling (x3012 or 916-568-3012) or e-mailing the helpdesk (at) losrios [dot] edu (subject: ) (Help Desk), you can have a trouble ticket entered and the appropriate person notified to solve your problem. This is the most expedient method to get your problem resolved!

Life on Campus
Food Service - Cafeteria (Rio Bistro) & Coffee Shop (Java City) - Rio Bistro Cafe & Java City - The Cafeteria is now open! the "Hungry Hawk" trailer will still be available near the OPS Building Monday - Thursday from 10-2.  Hours of operation for the Cafeteria will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 2:00pm and Java City is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 2:00pm Friday. For more information please visit our website: where you can find more information about food services on your campus. Vending machines are located in the Library building and at various places on campus including Bus/FS and Careers & Technology buildings. (see map)
Intercampus Mail - mail delivery and pickup service to all CRC departments for official intra/inter-campus mail is processed and delivered daily to all areas by 12:00 p.m. All outgoing mail must be to Mail Services by 2:00 p.m. to guarantee same day processing. More information about Intercampus mail can be found on the 'All Employees' tab at the top (under 'Intercampus Mail')
Lost and Found -- Missing items should be reported to CRC's Police Services, located in the Operations and Policy Services (OPS) Building. Likewise, if you find items, please take them to Police Services.
Phone Directories -- CRC Phone Directories are distributed to the area offices each fall semester. Directories for the other LRCCD colleges are available from the District Office and can be picked up at the Public Information Office (in the College Center), or by calling the Public Information Officer (916-691-7199 or x7199 from a campus phone) to request copies.
