Welcome Distance Learning and Online students! All library services at Cosumnes River College are available to the distance education and online community. Our goal is to ensure that all students -- whether on or off campus -- have access to Library resources.
The Library's Tutorial Videos and Distance Education Resource Guide have more information on the research process and the library tools that are available online 24/7. Below is a list of Library services available to Distance and Online students.
Library Catalog: Finding Books and Videos
The CRC Library cooperates with other LRCCD colleges (ARC, FLC, SCC, EDC) to share library collections. Search the catalog to find books, videos, and print magazine subscriptions.
You may request most items in the collection by clicking the "request" button in the catalog. Items can be delivered to the Los Rios College Library or outreach center nearest to where you live. You will receive email notification through your Los Rios GMail account when the item is ready to be picked up. Your Student Access Card is your library card and it must be presented in-person to check-out material. If you do not have a Student Access Card, you may obtain one at Admissions and Records at the Main CRC Campus or the Elk Grove Center.
The CRC Library provides access to thousands of electronic books (eBooks) that can be easily viewed from any computer or hand-held device with an Internet connection. Search for eBooks through OneSearch - a single search that connects students to all of the library's electronic resources. Students will be prompted for their Student ID (w-ID number) and Password (eServices Password). Students having trouble logging in should consult the Los Rios Password Security Management System. Those needing further assistance can contact the CRC Library.
The CRC Library provides access to more than 40 electronic research databases. These virtual collections give students access to academic journals, research reports, magazine and newspaper articles, eBooks, and dictionary and encyclopedia entries.
These collections can be accessed through the "Research Databases" link above or by searching OneSearch - a single search that connects students to most of the library's collections. Students will be prompted for their Student ID (w-ID number) and Password (eServices Password). Students having trouble logging in should consult the Los Rios Password Security Management System. Those needing further assistance can contact the CRC Library.

Our physical reference books cannot be checked out of the library.
