Tours for Prospective Students and Families

Individual (1-5 people) 

Requests must be submitted online.

CRC Group Campus Tours are available 9:a.m.-3:00p.m. 

About the Tours

CRC offers 45-minute walking tours for groups of high school students as well as organizations, that would like to see the campus and learn about the academic programs, student services, and campus life offered at Cosumnes River College.

Optional 30 minute presentation on the admissions criteria may be available upon request. 

Presentations on Special Programs may be available upon request, but are not guaranteed.

Due to the volume of students we host and time required to transport, we are unable to store lunches backpacks or other material. Please plan on students carrying their lunches to ensure timeliness of your campus experience.

This tour features campus “hot spots,” and showcases campus distinctions and facilities designed to ignite 5th-8th grade students' enthusiasm for higher education.

Is a reservation required?

Yes, you will need to submit your request at least 15 business days prior to your requested visit date.

Who can request group tours?

Group tours are available to any middle school, high school, college, or organization that wants to bring a group of 6 or more students.

What does the tour include?

The tour includes the grounds of the campus, dining locations, and information about the services, activities, programs, and educational opportunities available to students.

What does the tour not include?

The tour does not include an opportunity to sit in on a lecture, or academic department presentations. It also cannot be tailored to tour specific program locations. 

How long is the tour?

The tour is a 45-minute walking tour. Larger groups may require more time.

Is a tour given if it is raining?

Yes, but the tour is modified to a condensed indoor tour which includes a tour of the Winn Center, Learning Resource Center, and the Library. We will not cancel the tour for weather, but you are welcome to reschedule for another day. 

Can I cancel my tour if needed?

Yes. Groups and individuals wishing to cancel a tour must do so at least 2 business days prior to their scheduled visit by calling: 916-691-7315.


If I am running late to my scheduled campus tour time, can we change the tour start time once we get to campus?

No. If you are 10 minutes late, your tour may be shortened in order to finish within the pre-arranged time allotted. If you are more than 20 minutes late, your tour will be canceled.​

Is my campus tour guaranteed after I submit my request?

No. Once a request is received, it is reviewed based on tour availability for that day/time. Group Tours for Graduating High School seniors are prioritized.

Are parking permits required if I reserved a campus tour?

Yes. Parking permit regulations are strictly enforced 24 hours a day, seven days per week, and 365 days a year. All regulations are enforced at all times.

Can I request a tour of a specific program?

Tours are not tailored for specific programs or majors.
