The CalWORKs program is here to assist students who are currently receiving cash aid from the county and those who are in transition-off of welfare. Helping the students prepare to make a successful transition from welfare to employment is the primary purpose of the program. CalWORKs participants are required to participate in educational and other work activities a minimum of 32 hours a week.
The CalWORKs program at Cosumnes River College was implemented to help students continue to pursue their educational and job goals while still meeting county guidelines and requirements.
