The following websites are great resources for students thinking about transfer. You can use these websites to research colleges and universities, financial aid, scholarships and much more.

General Transfer Information

  • www.calstate.edu - This website gives you access to information and resources regarding the California State University system including the online application.
  • www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions - This website gives you access to information and resources regarding the University of California system including the online application.
  • www.assist.org- This website gives articulation information between California Community Colleges and California State Universities or Universities of California.
  • uctap.universityofcalifornia.edu - An online tool that helps Community College students track your transfer progress to the UC system. 
  • www.californiacolleges.edu - This website is the official source for college and career planning in California.
  • www.eureka.org - Site ID code: MKT3QR6, - Eureka is a online tool that allows you to research Major, Career, Education and Financial Aid  Information.
  • www.aiccu.edu - Association of Independent California College and Universities, gives information on many of the private, non-profit 4 year colleges and universities in California. 
  • www.petersons.com- This website is a guide to colleges, universities and more.
  • www.nces.ed.gov/ipeds - This website gives you information about every U.S. college including estimated costs it would take each year to attend a particular college.
  • wue.wiche.edu- If you are a resident of a WICHE state, you are eligible to request a reduced WUE tuition rate of 150% of the resident rate at one of the 145 participating schools in the West.

WICHE states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.

Financial Aid and Scholarships*

  • Federal Student Aid (FAFSA- This website gives you information and access to apply for federal and state grants, work-study, and loans. 
  • UC Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan -can make a UC education more affordable for eligible students. 
  • www.californiacolleges.edu - This website provides a Financial Aid Award "Comparison Tool," which a student can use to compare financial aid award letters from different UC, CSU and private universities. 
  • www.finaid.org- This website is a comprehensive source for financial aid information, advice and tools.
  • www.fastweb.com- This website lets you search for local, national, and college specific scholarships.
