Work Experience
Cooperative Work Experience Education (Co-op) is a unique educational plan. It allows students the opportunity to develop practical skills and knowledge by applying classroom study with planned, supervised on-the-job experience. Through the program students can earn college credits (up to 16 units) while they work or complete on-the-job training through an internship.
Worksites may be located on or off campus and consist of either paid or volunteer work or internships. They must also provide new or expanded learning opportunities or responsibilities.
Job or internship placement is not guaranteed, but assistance is provided.
For assistance call the Co-op office (916) 691-7372 located at BS106.
