It was totally unexpected that they would field such a competitive team in re-starting the program after a year of not fielding a team. They were able to make playoffs, but lost in the first round to College of the Sequoias. Still an outstanding year! Coach Ball is looking forward to next year as all players are returning sophomores. Congratulations to Nicole Garcia of the softball team for being named to the Big 8 All-Conference Team and the All-State Team. She is also receiving All-American consideration. The team hosts College of the Sequoias this weekend in the first round of the playoffs.
