The Cosumnes River College Foundation hosted its newest fundraising event - A Night With the Stars March 10 at the CRC Visual and Performing Arts Center where they welcomed more than 150 friends and supporters from the CRC campus and community.
The Art Gallery provided the perfect setting for attendees to enjoy delectable creations from CRC’s very own Culinary Arts Department. A special thanks to Professor Michael Frigm, who, along with his students, prepared and served elegant food with professionalism and friendliness.
Guests then moved to the Recital Hall where they were greeted by a display of student photography in the lobby. Thanks to Professor Jim West for providing the student images.
Inside the Recital Hall, Music Professor Omari Tau served as the evening’s emcee and the stars came out. Under the skill and direction of our talented faculty, students treated the audience to a showcase of performances from the dance, film, music and theatre departments. Again, thank you to Professors Cheri Fortin, Grant Parker, Kurt Erickson, Lauren Wagner, Michelle Green-Clark, and Omari Tau for all of your help in putting on an amazing showcase!
Various departments contributed to some wonderful baskets for our silent auction. This year, more than $20,000 was raised in support of CRC scholarships and student support programs for the college. Thanks to the Foundation's fundraising committee who lent their time and effort to make sure this event was successful.
The CRC Foundation would like to express its gratitude for the continued generous support of our sponsors and all those who came out to support student success.
