The CRC Orchestra is made up of both music students and non-music students and performs roughly 4 -5 concerts in a school year. The orchestra performs a wide variety of works that reflect performance standards at CRC and the orchestra's place within the broader liberal arts community of the College.

The ensemble is committed to providing a platform for both student and faculty soloists at CRC.

The orchestra rehearses Monday evenings, from 6:30-9:30pm (approximate), and presents four-five concerts per season in the school’s Recital Hall.

Membership in the CRC College Orchestra is open to all students, faculty and staff members at CRC. Membership is also open to the broader Sacramento and Elk Grove community.

Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester in August and January. Auditions consist of scales and sightreading. There are openings in all sections, strings, winds, brass, percussion.
