Rex & Margaret Fortune ECHS

Cosumnes River College warmly welcomes Rex & Margaret Fortune Early College High School (RMF ECHS) students to participate in open college courses designed to lead to an Associate in Arts in General Science by completion of Senior year.

 

Important Information Header

Incoming ECHS Freshman: 

  • The application period for Fall 2018 is currently closed.
  • The next application period will begin in May 2019 for Freshman starting in Fall 2019.

 

Continuing Students:

  • Complete the online Supplemental form  in your eServices account beginning November.
  • Select the Continuing Student box below for additional application steps to apply for the Spring 2019 semester.

Step 1

Attend the CRC Rex & Margaret Fortune ECHS Cohort Orientation & Application Workshop

CRC Rex & Margaret Fortune ECHS (RMF ECHS) Cohort Orientation Dates:

The Fall 2018 application period for incoming freshman has closed. The next application period will begin in May 2019 for Freshman for Fall 2019. Please check back for future Orientation offerings.

Please note: A Parent or legal guardian should be present during the Orientation in order for the student to fully complete the Advanced Education packet.

During the Orientation & Application Workshop all students will complete the following:

  • Online application to CRC
  • ECHS Dual Enrollment Application
  • Retrieve Los Rios College Student ID Number

Before attending the Workshop you will need to know the following information:

  • Legal name
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Email Address
  • Mailing Address

Step 2

Set-Up Your LRCCD Password

After you complete the CRC RMF ECHS Orientation you will need to set-up your LRCCD password. Students will use this password to access all of the following:

  • eServices: Student account for students to view class schedules, grades, and more.
  • Canvas: An online learning platform where Professors can post assignments, or send messages to students in a class.
  • Los Rios Gmail: A free student email account where College Departments will email important reminders and deadlines. Additionally, Professors can also communicate important messages to students to this email.

To set-up your unified password:

  1. Go to Create Your LRCCD password.
  2. Fill in your Los Rios Student ID Number ( W+ 7-Digit ID Number)
  3. Answer your security questions. (Forgot your Answers? You will need to go to an Admission & Records Office with a valid photo ID to access your answers.)
  4. Create your password and submit. Please allow 15 minutes before logging in to any account.

Continuing ECHS Students

Step 1

Complete the Supplemental Form Online

You must complete the Supplemental Form to CRC to continue to the next semester. The Supplemental form is accessible in your eServices account. You must complete this before submitting your Advanced Education application to the ECHS staff.

  • Please log-in to your eServices student account.
  • If you have forgotten your password, please follow the "Forgot your password?" option located below the password box.
  • If you have forgotten your security question answers, you will have to come in to the Admission & Records Office located at the Elk Grove Center Office with photo ID to access the security question answers.

Step 2

Complete the Dual Enrollment Application Packet

After completing the Supplemental Form online, you will need to complete an file icon.Dual Enrollment Application online and print to obtain signatures and attached required documents. 

Important Reminders:

  • Make sure you complete all forms in blue or black ink only.
  • Fill in your Los Rios College ID Number for all areas requesting "Student ID Number"
  • Be sure to complete signatures on both the front and back of your application.
  • Attach all required documents and typed statements before submission
  • Submit your completed application packet to the ECHS Front Office.

Entering Freshman (not yet approved by RMF ECHS)

If you are currently a middle school student, or legal guardian of a middle school student, who has not yet applied to the Rex & Margaret Fortune ECHS, please contact the staff below for application instructions.

If you are currently a high school student, but not attending the RMF ECHS, please know that courses are primarily intended for students in the Rex & Margaret Fortune Early College High School (RMFECHS) cohort. Courses are open to all CRC students based on the registration dates set by the Los Rios Community College District. Please see the CRC Class Schedule for course dates and times.
