If you have a high school diploma or its equivalent (such as a certificate of proficiency issued by the State Board of Education), you are eligible for admission. If you are over 18 years old but do not have a high school diploma or equivalent, you may also be admitted. What does it cost? The general enrollment fee for all students is $46 per unit. (Students who are not California residents and international students must pay additional tuition, as shown in the schedule below.) For more detail about the cost of attending Cosumnes River College, see the Fees & Payment page.
If you haven't been to college before, it's best to submit your application by April 30 for the summer/fall semester, or October 31 for the spring semester. This permits you to register for classes (see step 5) during the earliest registration time available (Priority 1). Early registration improves your chances of getting the classes you want during the times you need. If you meet these application deadlines, you may register in May (for summer & fall classes) or December (for spring semester).
If you're a first-time student who missed these deadlines, or you transferred from another college or are reentering college, Cosumnes River College will accept your online application and data supplement (through e-Services) starting sixty days before registration begins. It usually will only take a couple of hours for your information to upload and you can then register.
