Graduation Tickets
Each eligible graduate will be issued one Graduate Ticket and four Guest Tickets. Additional tickets are not available. See this webpage for additional information.
You may use this form to send your questions to the CRC Graduation Committee. We truly understand the importance of this event; please know that everyone is working hard to ensure the best possible experience for all and we will do our best to respond to questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
Frequently Asked Questions
RSVP and Ticket Questions
The deadline to register for the ceremony has passed.
As of May 2, 2024, each graduating student will receive four tickets for their guests. Graduates will be responsible to give their guests the tickets.
Graduate tickets will be sent out on May 7, 2024 to the email address that was used when registering for the ceremony.
Guest tickets will be sent out on May 8, 2024 to the email address that was used when registering for the ceremony.
Questions about tickets will not be answered until after May 9, 2024.
- Electronic tickets will be made available via Hometown ticketing. Graduate tickets and guest tickets will be emailed to the graduate’s email they used when they RSVP’d.
- If you don’t see your tickets in your email, please make sure to check the spam/junk folder. If you still have trouble locating your tickets, please reach out to CRC staff at crc-commencement@crc.losrios.edu.
- Students can email or print their passes and guest passes. Complimentary printing is available in the Welcome Center from May 9 to 16. (Please Welcome Center for hours and location.)
- Students have the option to download the Hometown Fan App.
All tickets are complimentary and may not be sold or purchased.
All guests, including children, are required to have a ticket to enter the stadium.
Tickets will be sent out the week of May 6.
Yes. All children who will be using a seat (not sitting in parent/guardian’s lap) will need a ticket. If you are bringing children to Commencement, you must have another adult present to supervise them. Childcare is not available, and children may not accompany you in the graduate seating area.
No, tickets are free of charge and cannot be purchased or sold.
You will receive one Graduate ticket and four guests tickets, all with unique ticket order numbers and QR codes that cannot be duplicated or copied.
The creation, duplication, and/or distribution of tickets is prohibited and could be considered a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.

Ceremony Questions
No. Students will not be able to participate if they did not sign up by the deadline. There are no exceptions.
The deadline to register for the CRC Graduation Ceremony has been extended to Tuesday, April 23 at 5:00 pm.
Participating students who need specific accommodations should indicate this on the RSVP form and someone may reach out to you to discuss your accommodations.
Accommodation requests for participating students can be submitted via the RSVP form by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

This celebration is for the class of 2024 who have petitioned to graduate with an Associate’s degree from CRC. Only Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 graduates and prospective Spring 2024 candidates (who have petitioned for an associate degree by the Friday, March 1, 2024 deadline) will be allowed to RSVP and attend the event.
A cap and gown is required for participation.
Note: the cap and gown must be the CRC regalia colors. You can purchase approved graduation material at the CRC Bookstore or online.

Extra caps, gowns, and tassels will not be available at the ceremony. You must have your regalia when you check-in for the ceremony.
No. There will be no sales of any kind on the day of the celebration. Graduates wishing to purchase regalia prior to the celebration may do so at the CRC Bookstore or online.

The CRC Alumni Association and Office of Philanthropy have created the Gowns for Grads program to support students in need with free access to graduation caps and gowns. Caps and gowns are provided by the generosity of donors and recent CRC graduates; availability may be limited.
The Gowns for Grads application will close end-of-day on Friday, April 19, 2024.
No. Students who did not RSVP and arrive the day of graduation will not be issued a graduate pass and cannot enter the graduate area.
Graduating students: wear your cap and gown to the ceremony. Proper attire is required to participate. We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes.
High heels or shoes with any type of heel or stud are prohibited in the graduate seating area.
For safety and security reasons, and in compliance with our student code of conduct, certain items are prohibited from being brought to the ceremony such as balloons, air horns, silly string and alcohol.

Also, please no noisemakers, blow horns, inflatable balls, or signs that will obstruct the view of others.
No. Guests are not allowed in the graduate area.
Waters will be available for graduates.
Please note the graduation program will be available via a QR code. No printed programs will be available.
Yes. Restrooms will be available to graduates and guests.
Event Day Questions
Graduates can begin to arrive at 8:00 am.
Gates will open for guest seating at 8:30 am. Guests will not be allowed early entrance to the venue.
Guests can park in the parking structure or Parking Lot D or Parking Lot E. These are best accessed by entering CRC from the Calvine Road Entrance.
Handicap and Accessible parking will be available in Lot F for those who show a placard to the parking attendants.
Please note: the Bruceville Road Entrance will be closed to traffic, you must enter from the Calvine Road or Center Parkway Entrance.

Admissions and Records Questions
No. This information is automatically provided for students to the graduation committee. It is also posted to students’ transcripts at the time that degrees are awarded. However, the student must have petitioned to graduate.
This designation is based on the student’s cumulative graduation GPA.
- For cumulative GPAs of 3.00 to 3.49, “Honors” will be the designation
- For GPAs of 3.50 and higher, “Highest Honors” will be the designation
For ADT Degrees
This cumulative GPA includes all college coursework that is transferable to our university systems. It does not include remedial, Los Rios-only college level, or master’s degree/higher coursework. Transfer credit from official transcripts from non-Los Rios colleges/universities that are on file with Admissions and Records will be included.
For Non-ADT Degrees
This cumulative GPA includes all college-level coursework. It does not include remedial or master's degree/higher coursework. Transfer credit from official transcripts from non-Los Rios colleges/universities that are on file with Admissions and Records will be included.
A student who petitions for both an ADT and a non-ADT degree will have the higher of the two graduation GPAs used for honors/highest honors purposes for the commencement booklet and the posting/awarding of the degrees.
For the 2023-2024 commencement ceremony that will be held in May, graduation lists are provided to the graduation committee that include summer 2023 graduates, fall 2023 graduates, and spring 2024 prospective candidates. The commencement booklet includes the graduates’ or candidates’ names and honors/highest honors status (if applicable).
Current, ungraded spring 2024 coursework will not be taken into account when attempting to provide honors/highest honors information for candidates to the graduation committee.
Allow four to six months for the completion of a degree evaluation, after which time diplomas will be mailed to the address listed on file in your eServices account.
General Questions
Yes, you can still participate in the Student Speaker Competition. It is not mandatory to attend the Student Speaker workshop.
Yes! You can decorate your cap. Please adhere to the student code of conduct when decorating your cap, but have fun! Please note, your graduation gown should not be decorated.
No, participating in the Graduation Ceremony is optional and not mandatory.
No. This celebration is for students who graduate Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.
Alcohol and Drug-Free Campus
Cosumnes River College is an alcohol and drug-free campus. Students participating must comply with the student conduct code, including policies on an alcohol and drug-free campus. The celebration is a drug and alcohol-free event.
For the safety of everyone participating, staff will deny entry to any student or guest who appears intoxicated. Please see Alcohol, Drug, and Smoking Policies.
There will be photography and videography at this event.
Please be aware that by entering Cosumnes River College, you consent to your voice, name, and/or likeness being used, without compensation, in photos and/or videos for use in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity and you release the Los Rios Community College district and its colleges (American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, and Sacramento City College) from liability whatsoever.
